Negotino (native: Неготино) is situated in the middle part by the river Vardar and takes a significant part of Tikvesh valley. In fact, the territory is situated on both sides of the Vardar.
According to the last Macedonian national census of 2002, the municipality ha a population of 19.212 people (17.768 Macedonians, 627 Serbs, 453 Roma, 243 Turks, and others), with a density of 45,05 people/km².
Negotino is 150 meters above sea level, and the surface of the area is 25 square kilometers.
The highway M-1 leads through this city, and also leads railway connection Skopje-Gevgelija-Greece.
In Negotino is one of the best wine production companies in Macedonia. |
